Spanish with Salsa was founded on August 10, 2020, by Carol Haro, a language educator who discovered — first in the classroom, then aboard international cruise ships — that learning a language is never just about words, but about people. The name itself comes from her nickname, "Salsa," and reflects the energy, warmth, and rhythm she loves about Hispanic cultures.
Tired of learning experiences that focus only on rules and textbooks, Carol built Spanish with Salsa around real conversation and cultural connection. What began as online lessons during the pandemic has grown into a space where students learn Spanish in a way that feels personal, meaningful, and alive — because speaking differently is only part of the journey; the rest is connecting more deeply with people and new ways of seeing the world.
